Flex Belt Review
The Flex Belt Reviews
With all the hype out there, who can these days be sure as to which product works and which don’t. If you’re here at this page, you’re obviously looking for a good review of The Flex Belt and that’s our aim.
Now that we’ve based that this is a review of The Flex Belt, you can go check out the official site here
Be warned though that this review is totally unofficial and based on what we thought. There are good points and bad points…
Firstly let’s get started on what the Flex Belt is. The technology used in Flex Belt is an advanced technology one of it’s own kind. You will be able to use this device anywhere and anytime cause it’s easily concealable under your clothes. It’s perfect for consumers who don’t have time to exercise due to busy schedule etc and it will even help those who are already in shape, looking for a better toned stomach.
There are claims that the flex belt will work for everyone but how that remains true is still unknown. We however doubt that it will work for everyone but it will for a high percentage of users. These are the official reports that we have gathered :-
A 6 week demonstration of participants showed that :
- 100% of users reported that they felt their abs more toned and firm
- 92.3 of users reported that they felt the firmness of their abs muscles increased
The Flex Belt is cleared by the FDA and it is the first of it’s kind EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) product to be given approval.
There are intensity levels that range from 1-150 so there are levels to suite every stage. You might want to start from a lower level first, find your current suiting’s and work your way up cause this thing does make your tummy exercise and if you start high, you might get a stomach muscle cramp.

Now to how it works…
After wearing The Flex Belt, you will feel a pulsating feel to your stomach, which will make your abdominal muscles tighten for a few seconds, then relaxed again. After our mates and i used it, it does for a fact make our abdominals workout somehow in a strange yet cool way. Again, you can adjust it’s settings (1-150) to suit your level and work up from there. Take a look at the video below to get a better understanding of how the flex belt works :-
The makers of Flex Belt guarantees results within weeks of using The Flex Belt and 100% of users have reported more toned and firm abs. What you’ll need to do is to use it 30 minutes a day. One thing we liked about it is that you can use it at home or in the office.
The Good Points ;
- Helps with abdominal exercise which you can use anywhere and anytime
- Study shows that there is 100% success rate
- Approved by the FDA
- Comes with 60 Day Money Back Guarantee
- 2 year extended replacement warranty
The Bad Points!
The cost is what some will get turned off from. Below is a price-list for The Flex Belt :-
1 Flex Belt = $199.99
2 Flex Belts = $349.00 (Save $50)
3 Flex Belts = $499.99 (Save $100)
4 Flex Belts = $649.99 (Save $150)
We had the luck to have nice office buddies and ordered 4 Flex Belts and saved on our side. The 2nd option is quite popular as well as couples often buy it together. But the advantage of this product is that it comes with a 60 day money back guarantee and that is more than enough time for you to fully test it out.
We all love before & after pics, so here are a few before & after results pics of users of the Flex Belt :-
Flex Belt Before And After
Another thing is that the Flex Belt is only guaranteed for 60 Days if you purchase it on the official site. So that means there are no returns if you get them from a reseller or a store.
Final Review
The Flex Belt truly has changed how we do abdominal exercises. Instead of going through sweat and blood (theoretically speaking of course) at the gym, getting a great looking stomach can be done with ease.
We felt that the price was well worth it in the end (though no complaints if it was cheaper) and The Flex Belt comes highly recommended and it should be top of your list if you want to get nice firm abs the bloodless
way.

Is there any negative effects could happen to the body from using this product?
@ Nazz
With recommended use, there are no side effect that could happen to your body. The belt is safe to use and is approved by the FDA.
my husband and I recently just got the flex belt but I was wondering what would happen if I use the flex belt now 4 weeks after delivering my baby.
@ Vero,
We best recommend that you seek the advise of your local medical consultant before use. However, with most pregnancy cases, wait 1 month after an IUD Contraceptive Device (example : coil) has been fitted on or wait at least 3 months if you had a Caesarean Section.
Hi a few Questions:
1. I ordered my belt from Flexbelt. But on the belt it says Slendertone and there is no mention of Flex belt. Did I get the wrong product?
2. I’m 34 yrs old 5″4 115 lb had two babies in the last 3 yrs and need to tighten and flatten my stomach. I walk about 20 min a day and eat healthy. Will this work for me?
3. Is using it 40 min a sesseio too much???? And can I break the sessions into two like twice a day for 20 min???????
Also what level (1, 2, 3 or 4)do you recommend for a 30-40 min session?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
@ Shushan
1. Although the Flex Belt is made by Slendertone, the Flex Belt is a different product than Slendertone’s Flex products. The Flex Belt is patented by it’s own technology and is made only available on it’s official site which can be found by clicking on this link.
Another way to check is to look for the model of the belt. The model of the Flex Belt is “X-70″, while Slendertone’s Flex is model “X-10″.
2. Yes in our opinion, the belt will definitely help you. Add in a good exercise regime and diet plan as you mentioned, you will see results even quicker.
3. It’s recommended to use the belt one session per day, which lasts approximately 30 minutes. This is what we also recommend. As for intensity levels, it’s recommended to start at a lower level. As you progress, you can increase the intensity levels.
I want to buy a belt and use it in conjunction with running. Of what material it is made and if he would get wet from perspiration during a training session?
The flexbelt is made of high quality materials which are spandex like and it is also water/sweat proof. So there is no problem using the belt while jogging/running as there are many users that use the belt while exercising.
Hello,
I’m 14, 5’3″, 125 pounds and I’m thinking about purchasing the Flex. Its the off season for my sport and although I’m mostly muscle, my stomach has started to loose its definition. I was wondering if you could use the Flex for places other than your abs. Could you use it for your thighs? I don’t want to be unevenly toned :L
@ Lena
The Flex Belt will definitely help you tone your abs. This is also testament of many users that had already used the belt and enjoyed it’s results successfully.
As for using the belt with other areas, they also have the Flex Mini Skirt that is designed to help tone your buttocks and thighs area. This is a separate product and is optional. It can be found on the official site.
Okay, so i got the belt, and i can feel it work when i use it. I’ve only used it a few times. I am 5’6 165 and 16, i probably have about 10 lbs of extra belly fat, the kind you can grab onto, a bigger roll on my lower, a smaller up higher, and love handles, i am trying my best to eat healthier, less junk, more water, etc., i do other body exercises when i have the time, usually 5 days a week, and am going to start using the belt every night for an hour (1/2 an hour a little higher, 1/2 a little lower)on usually above 50 (intensity) I really need to lose this extra weight!!! What else can i do to speed it up MORE and how soon should i expect GOOD visible results!?! PLEASE HELP!!!
@ Danielle
We understand your concern about trying to speed up the toning process. However it is not recommended to use the Flex Belt more than 40 minutes per session. Be patient. It’s not a miracle belt with overnight results. You will see results with in time with continuous use.
As for how long to see results, it depends on a case to case basis. The average user is seeing results within 4-8 weeks. If you’ve got more fat in the mid section, it will take slightly longer to see results as it will take more time to burn the fat and tone your abs. Add in a good diet and exercise regime, you are bound to get results faster. However, keep in mind that the belt is not designed to help you lose your overall weight. It’s designed to help you tone your mid section.
Hope this helps…
can using the flexbelt affect the bladder or urinary tract?
@ Stephanie Cooper
If you are suffering from any medical condition, it’s best to consult your local medical consultant prior to use.
Anyways, to answer your question, the Flex Belt will not affect the bladder or urinary tract. The Flex Belt is very safe to use as it conforms to the requirements of the Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC), carries the CE symbol and is the first belt in it’s kind to be approved by the US FDA.
I’m a fairly small girl. About 5 feet, 100lbs. I run 5 days a week along with crunches and weight lifting. The problem is all the fat seemed to go to my sides (love handles). When you at me from a side angle, I’m fairly skinnny, but front a 2-D angle, I look thick. Can the belt help define and give me curves?
@ Nancy
The Flex Belt is specially designed to help tone the upper & lower section of the abs as well as external oblique’s (which is the love handles).
The Flex Belt does help with burning fat when the muscles are being contracted. Therefore, you may see a result in inches, but not in pounds since muscle weighs more than fat. So yes it should help you get more defined and ultimately get the curves. There are plenty of users that had successfully lost inches off their love handles and in the end, got their curves.
Keep in mind that the one thing that we liked about the Flex Belt is that it comes with a 60 day money back guarantee so there’s plenty of time for you to fully test it out and see if you’re fully satisfied with the results.
I am 6’2 275 but mostly muscle and very active. I am what you call an athletic big person I have play football may whole life including college. I only want to tone my stomach, I have some what of a gut. Will the Flex Belt really help be get the abs I have been working so hard to get but other workouts just have not cut it I seem to be able to tone every part of my body except my Stomach. Will this really be worth my money?
The Flex Belt has seen a high percentage of it’s users reporting that 100% of users felt their abs were more toned after using the belt and 93% of users reporting that their abs looked more firm with more muscle gains.
The belt is specially designed to help to tone and define your abs and your external oblique’s. The Flex Belt does help with burning fat when the muscles are being contracted. Intern you may see a result in inches, but not in pounds since muscle weighs more than fat.
Also take note that the belt comes with a 60 day money back guarantee (and 2 years product warranty) so there’s plenty of time for one to fully test it’s effectiveness.
I’m about 250, male, and just started a diet/exercise program.
I remember that one of the criticisms of the last round of electro-belts was that if you had a thick layer of fat, the “zap” wouldn’t reach the muscle layer (or would reach it in a very weakened state) and thus would be ineffective. Does the Flex Belt have this same deficiency?
I took an unofficial measurement and found that I have about 2 inches of flab on top of the muscle. Again, I am starting a complete diet/exercise program, but should I wait until I lose X pounds or X inches before buying a Flex Belt? Or will I see good results in spite of the rather thick fat layer on top of my abs?
A second question. Depending on the answer above, I was planning to get both Flex Belt and Flex Arms. As you may have guessed, based on my self-description, I am looking for help everywhere, including my buttocks. The Flex Mini also looks like it could be something beneficial for me, but the website says that it is designed for women only. If I, a man, were to use the Flex Mini, would I be risking injury? Or would it merely be ineffective?
@ ejb
Thank you for asking. The Flex Belt does have a high percentage of success rate (with 100% of users reporting that they felt their abs are more toned and 93% reporting that their abs looked more firm with muscles increased) with the product as well as a 5 star rating.
The Flex Belt can accommodate waist sizes 24-47 inches. It does come with a 5 inch extender making it able to fit waist sizes up to 52 inches.
The Flex Belt is designed to tone and define the upper and lower abs as well as external oblique’s. The Flex Belt does help with burning fat when the muscles are being contracted. Intern you may see a result in inches, but not in pounds since muscle weighs more than fat.
The EMS technology does produce enough stimulation to reach the abdominal muscles if you are overweight and will still contract your muscles. However, depending on your current condition it may take a little longer to see results. We suggest to maintain a healthy diet and exercise program when using this product.
The Flex Mini is unisex as well so you may use it, this fits hip sizes of 36-45 inches.
The Flex Arms fits a circumference of 8-14 inches, this product is used to tone and define the biceps and triceps.
Please remember that they do offer a 60-Day Money Back Guarantee and a 2-year warranty for the Flex Belt and their other Flex products so there’s plenty of time for you to fully test it out.
i had a question i had just pucrchased the belt havent gotten it yet..am 5’10 exercise 4 times a week eat healthy am already getting some definition on my abs and obliques i weight 190 what are the outcome if i use the belt and do my regular ab exercises would that be over doing it or i shud just use the belt and in the gym use the blue waist trimer to get that extra water out plzz help wish i could email you sojme pics so you can see…..and yes i am very skeptic about this belt i heard people say it works it doesnt work i hope it does cause im promoting this lolll plzzz feedback on this asap
@ edgar
You may use the flex belt with additional exercises. It’s recommended that you do additional exercises to see quicker results.
As for being skeptic, we were in your shoes at one time but after seeing the results, the belt does in fact help getting better toned abs. Many users have also enjoyed exceptionally good results with the Flex Belt. Keep in mind that you have a full 60 day money back guarantee to fully test it out, so there’s plenty of time for you to test the belt and it’s effectiveness.
I am 5’8 265LB was over 300 and lost 75 pound on my own!! Will the belt fit around me? I have a 42in waist! Dose it really work lower AB’s? That my problem area!
@ RGR
The Flex Belt will fit waists from sizes 24-47. It also comes with a 5 inch extender, which makes it fit waists up to 52 inches.
Since your waist is approximately 42 inches, the belt will fit your waist without using the extender. No problems there.
The belt will also help tone your lower abs as it’s specially designed to help tone your upper abs, lower abs and external oblique’s.
i lost a lot of weight and have loose skin will this tighten up skin as well
@ AUSTIN
The belt is not designed to help with the elasticity of the skin as it’s designed to help you get toned abs.
I purchased the flexbelt over a year ago – was unable to use it until now. I used it twice – the third time I tried to use it – it would not work – charged the battery thinking that was the problem. Still would not work. Changed the pads and it worked great – Why did the pads only work twice – were they defective – cannot afford to pay $11 plus shipping – for every two times I use them. Ad says the pads work for about 30 sessions (28 more than I got). What is the problem?
@ Veronica
We’ve never encountered this issue before but it could be because that you left the gel pads to be for quite some time but we can’t be sure without looking at it. It is supposed to give you about 30 sessions per gel pad.
Do contact Flex Belt’s customer support and tell them about it. They might be able to come up with a solution for you.
Hi after reading ur review am planning to get one for me.. I jus have a question. Does the flex belt comes with the gel pad or do we have to buy that separately? If it comes with the gel pad, how many is included?
@ redpearls
Glad that our Flex Belt review has provided you with the information that you were looking for. Now to answer your other questions :-
Your purchase of the Flex Belt comes with a set of gel pads which includes 3 gel pads, a carrying case, the rechargeable power supply unit, an instructional manual, and a belt extender for 5 inches included. So you don’t have to purchase additional gel pads with your original order. However, it’s recommended that you order 2-3 additional sets to be sure that you don’t miss out a day of toning while waiting for the new pads to arrive.
Hope this helps.
I currently have a 6 pack. I run and work out everyday, I also eat really healthy. I’m about to undergo a few weeks of extensive ab workouts to define an 8 pack. Will the flex belt help me see better results? Or will it merely speed up the process?
@ Wesley
If you’re using the Flex Belt while training and doing your workouts, it will help speed up the process of getting better toned abs (or an 8 pack in your case).
So I’m 19 around 180 pounds and I’m just not sure if i should get this or not. Im not so much worried about the price, but more of if it will help. I will be doing a lot of sit ups during the school year so I was wondering how much this will help and if it makes a difference in strength performance. And what would be the best way to get abs? Wear this and do a normal ab workout after?
@ Peter
It is recommended to use the Flex Belt while doing other exercises to help speed up to process of getting toned abs. However, if you use the Flex Belt while doing strenuous exercises which focus on the abs (such as sit ups), you might strain your ab muscles too much, thus overexerting your ab muscles.
We suggest exercising in conjunction with the belt as long as your not targeting the abdomen area and doing other additional ab workouts during other times.
im 17 6’5 310 durring the offseason i tend to get a lil lazy would this still work if im not that active
@ chris
Yes the belt will work even if you’re relaxing, sitting down while watching tv etc… Many have done so successfully while relaxing, though you might get slower results than using the belt with an exercise regime. Nevertheless, you can use the belt while relaxing and still get better toned abs.
It works by stimulating your ab muscles using EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) and it is cleared by the FDA.
I have been considering the Flex belt, but was not sure if it could be used if you have a belly piercing.
@ Ann
Yes you can use the Flex Belt if you have a pierced belly.
Hello. I ordered the flex belt as well as the flex mini about 2 days ago and I am starting to get nervous as tons of bad thoughts flood my mind. I have a fear that because I am only 13 years old, that this could cause me to have trouble when I want to have kids some day. Do I have anything to be worried about? Also, can I get electrocuted?? Oh and is it safe to use on a 13 year old girl? Thanks
@ Stephanie
The Flex Belt is very safe to use and is approved by the FDA. You won’t get electrocuted by using it nor will you get any bodily injury. The belt won’t effect your reproductive organs in any way so it wouldn’t be a problem if you want to have kids in the future. However the belt is recommended for ages 14 and above, so you might have to wait a year before you can use it or you can pay a visit to your local doctor/physician and get his/her advice.
Oh and is the flex mini also safe and will that interfere with my reproductive organs? Oh and is the belt supposed to feel like its vibrating?
@ Stephanie
Yes the Flex Mini is also safe and it won’t effect your reproductive organs. The vibrating feel is the belt working it’s mechanism and it’s perfectly normal.
hahah last question…. do you wear the flex mini on top of underwear?
@ Stephanie
You can ask as many questions as you like and get all your queries answered, no problem.
Yes, you wear the Flex Mini on top of underwear.
So, the belt is for all ages? Can you use the belt while doing crunches?
@ Dave
The belt is recommended for ages 14 and above.
As for doing other ab exercises (such as ab crunches) while using the Flex Belt, you might over-strain your ab muscles. So it is not recommended. However, you can do additional ab workouts before or after using the Flex Belt.
For how long should I use the flex belt per day ?
@ Gabriel
Recommended use is one session per day and each session last approximately 30 minutes.
hello!
I’m 19 years old male, and i’m 171.96 pounds.
I was just wondering if it’s going to help me loose the weight around my belly, and i wanted to know if we could use it anywhere else like thighs, arms, etc…
waiting for your reply!
@ Tefa
The Flex Belt is not designed to help you lose weight but to help you tone your abs. However as your abs get toned, you might see some weight shed off at your abs area.
As for your other areas, there are other products that can also be found at the official site :-
- The Flex Mini (for your buttocks and thighs)
- The Flex Arms (for your biceps and triceps)
Can I share my flex belt ?
@ Gabriel
Yes you can. However, if more than one person intends to use the belt, we recommend ordering two belts and here are the reasons why:
- The Gel Pads are placed on the belt according to your waist size. If you share your belt, the Gel Pads will wear off quicker as they will need to be re-positioned for your partner unless you are both the same size.
- You will also need to change the Gel Pads much more frequently if you are sharing. If you do chose to share your belt, you must order more Gel Pads on your first order because the first set won’t last long enough to see results between two people.
- You won’t be able to wear the Flex Belts together if you share. A lot of people wear the belts together while taking walks, doing chores around the house etc….
- If you order an additional belt while checking out, you receive a 25% discount on the second belt.
is it better to do the advanced program 3 at level 150 for the whole time or program 7 at level 150 the whole time?? according to the manuel it says program 7 is stronger and better but i feel program 3 more.. wat r the micro coulombs?? i cant tell a difference between the effectiveness of the programs..
@ Damon
The micro-coulomb measures the effectiveness of the muscle workout. Using program 7 (Ab-Power) would give you the most effective muscle workout since it does have the highest micro-coulomb value.
I’m 6’2 198 lbs, in good shape. I have a little bit of a pouch (lower abs) on my stomach and some excessive fat (love handles). I plan on dieting and exercising. Will the belt help my little pouch and love handles become toned? Also, can I wear the belt while I do cardio? I usually get on the bike or the elliptical to do cardio, but I sweat a lot. Would the sweat interfere with the process of the flex belt? And does the flex belt have to be worn against the flesh of my skin? Or can it be worn over a wifebeater? I been debating whether or not to get a flex belt. I really want it, but I’m afraid it won’t work, and I’m afraid ill discover it won’t work after the 60 days.
PS, Could my stomach get too used to the flex belt and not tone up or show me anymore results? And could it give me diarrhea or stomach cramps? I’ve read cases where these have occurred.
And would it hurt me wearing the belt and doing one session a day? I thought it wasn’t good to work out the same muscles every day? And that they need a day or two for rest before working them out again? Sorry for asking all these questions. I believe that’s it for now.
@ Micheal
It’s recommended to use the belt one session per day. Each session last approximately 30+ minutes. You can use the belt every day if you use it once per day and there is no need to take a day or two off. Hope this helps
@ Micheal
The belt comes with intensity level from 1-150 so you can adjust the intensity levels as your abs get more toned. Not sure where the diarrhea or stomach cramps came from. No such side effects on our side. Though the stomach cramps could be because of you overworking your abs. It’s recommended to use the Flex Belt only once per day.
@ Micheal
Yes the Flex Belt will help you tone your abs (get rid of the little pouch) and love handles at the same time. It’s been recommended that you do additional exercises while using the belt cause this speeds up your results. So there are many users of the belt that are using the belt while doing cardio such as jogging or riding the bike etc, and don’t worry about getting sweat on the belt as it’s designed to be sweat proof. It’s best for you to wear the belt next to your skin. 60 days should be more than enough time for you to fully test it out. So if you’re not fully satisfied with it, you’ll be able to get a refund.
Keep in mind that you’re only eligible for the 60 day money back guarantee if you order it at their official site by clicking here
Thanks for the reply, and thanks for answering all of my questions
I have a couple more. I ordered a flex belt, I got it, and I was wearing It. When I took It off, the gel pads started to stick to my skin and come off the belt. Is their anything wrong with the pads? I’m pretty sure I put it on correctly. I didn’t think they would come off the belt in the process of taking it off my body.
Also, is there a way to clean the pads? I accidently got a piece of tissue on the center pad. And there is just a couple tiny specs of it stuck on the pads. I don’t know how to get it off.
Thanks for all your help!
@ Micheal
It is normal for the gel pads to come off the belt, this does not mean there is something wrong with them. It could be that you wore the belt for a long time and the pads adhered to your skin. To remove the gel pads from your body just use a little bit of water.
I’ve recently began using the Flex Belt. I notice that during each pulsation I feel a vibration down one of my legs as well. Am I wearing the belt incorrectly? I think I’m wearing it right.
@ Mike Wiersma
The pulsation you feel down at your leg indicates that you are wearing the belt over your hip bones. Moving the belt upwards to your waist should prevent this. Remember to pause or switch off the Flex Belt before adjusting the belt.
hey i was wondering….if i got the flex mini skirt, would that make my butt bigger and more toned looking. Because i have a small butt and im kind of ashamed of it becuase everyone around me wants or has a big butt and i really wanted to know if it would do so..=]
@ Gina
The Flex mini skirt will help you tone your buttocks, but it might not be able to make it bigger. It will however make the buttocks look more toned and some might say look slightly bigger but it is in fact more toned.
sorry, i have one more quesion..=]
will this help tone my legs to??
thank you for your answer.
@ Gina
The flex mini will help you tone your buttocks and upper thighs.
Lets just say if i order the flex belt it would work all my mid section area, but how long does it usually take to see the results? Also, can i life weights while wearing the belt? If i didn;t do any cardio workout, and i;m using the belt, would i have loose skin?
@ Jenny
The belt will help you tone and define your upper & lower section of the abs as well as external oblique’s (which is your love handles). The average user will see results within 4-8 weeks.
As for doing other workouts such as weight lifting when using the belt, you can, as long as you don’t do abdominal section workouts while using the Flex Belt. This is because you might over strain your abdominal muscles if you do so.
Lastly, if you don’t do cardio workouts while using the belt, the results might be slower than doing so. That’s all. You won’t have loose skin.
does it get rid of fat? cause thats what the pictures show and thats what i have and what i want gone!
@ Jon
The Flex Belt is designed to help you tone your abs section. With persistence use, the belt will eventually help you lose weight around your abs section.
Used in conjunction with additional exercises, you will lose weight generally as well.
Hi,
Im 25 5″9 and 152lb. Im a thin build and most of my fat is around my belly. i look slim but with a belly and it makes me so uncomfortable and i would like to know if Flex Belt will help me lose my belly fat even though i just started working out to get bigger but i’ve been told it will be hard to get bigger and lose belly fat at the same time.
@ Sam
The flex belt should help you get rid of your belly fat as it’s designed to help you tone your abs. Working out and using the Flex Belt is also recommended so it should be good for your situation.
Another question, would the Flex Arms will make my arms bigger?
@ Sam
Like the belt, the flex arms is to help you exercise your arms. However it you’re looking for hard workouts for the arms, you can use the flex arms and do additional exercises such as using the dumbbell. This will help give you speed up the workouts for your arms.
I have a question. Will this work if someone has muscular distrophy. Someone who can’t exercise independently…?
@ Crystal
It is recommended that you check with your local physician for any related health issues such as muscular distrophy. If they say it’s okay, the Flex Belt does help you tone your abs without having to do strenuous ab exercises such as ab crunches or sit ups.
Does the flex belt create the soreness of a normal workout the next day?
@ Johnny
Yes, you might feel sore after a workout the next day with using the Flex Belt if you start using it at a high intensity level. So it’s recommended that you start at a lower intensity level and work your way up from there.
